Grey matter gallery
C. Mathew Luther collage C. Mathew Luther's work was much more modernized than any other gallery I had been to. This specific collage reminds me of our digital collage project, and the mixed media project, there are many mediums explored in this piece, oil paint, clippings of images, ink. This piece was unlike any other art I had scene before, and that was exciting to me, I hope I can come back to this work when I have a better understanding of it. |

Blue Frame vertical (20' X 39') Recycled glass Katie Gingrass gallery This art Piece heavily reminded me of the Organic Versus Industrial project we completed, the recycled element of this thick dangerous glass, vs the beauty of the harmony, and shape created by the organization of the composition. My mood immediately brightens as I look at this piece, the light enhances the viewing as well. |

Biologocals series Spyro splash chub 1/2" aluminum plate Tim Cobb gallery This sculpture just looks so difficult to achieve, the thick metal is bent, and shaped so perfectly, and comes together to create a "splash" as the artist intended. This piece made me want to make my own sculpture out of metal, and present it in a fun and upbeat way, using such a difficult medium. |
Ebrahim Namdar Ganbari
Oil on canvas My Room series This painting is just so unsettling. It is just plain scary. Nothing in this painting is normal, whether it be the color scheme, or perspective. Also Another weird thing I noticed was the light is on the floor while the ceiling is pitch black. Normally a light source comes from the ceiling. This whole painting is just crazy upside down, and has inspired me to think of ways to make my own art crazy unique. |
Miad exhibition
Cheyenne Nussberger The MIAD trip was so much fun just presenting our flags, seeing senior work was was even better. I identified Cheyenne Nussberger's work right away, I don't want to be cliche and say it spoke to me, but it caught my eye to say the least. After reading the artist's intentions, I really felt like I could connect with her idea. This creature, is the artist, mixed with a great horned owl, and Kudzu. The setting is the artist's dorm room. |
